is it necessary for architectural students to fail in practical training

This question is generally asked by students, faculty and management, as everyone sees it from their perspective and realises that there is no point in failing anybody in this last semester of their Architectural education. The course itself is for 5 years and thereafter for any job application you require minimum of 2 years experience.
It is true that students of architecture have a vast variation of option in their future development, right from their further education to the job they opt. Some change their field into different branch of fine arts and some struggle in the same field.
The Question here is not the intensity of architecture but the relevance after their education. If somebody passes in the practical training where he has encountered the outside world and yet was questioned on his performance then it would be in his best to move forward.
Practical training is one stage of architecture education where you have endless possibility to apply for most of the offices as an intern and learn different experiences. In my perspective the decision should be given to the student as he would lose the opportunity to select the office as an intern .
