NSS Volunteer - Tree Plantation

Vaishanvi School of Architecture and Planning, Hyderabad

This program was initiated to encourage students of VSAP, Hyderabad College under the support of Jawaharlal Nehru Architecture and Fine Arts University in urban greenery. This resulted in students participating and planting trees at three different zones on streets in front of different public spaces.

TEACHING STRUCTURES TO STUDENTS OF ARCHITECTURE INNOVATIVELY

Jawaharlal Nehru Architecture and Fine Arts University, Hyderabad

The workshop is conducted by JNAFAU with the intent to reach out for all the architecture faculties for orienting their students design towards the structures. These architectural designs should consider the structural part of the design till the limit of their syllabus allows, rather than taking structures only for passing the semester.

COOL ROOFS -Providing Affordable Cooling to Urban Poor

The workshop is conducted by Administrative Staff College of India with the integration of IIIT with the government officials (Commissioner Janarthan Reddy). It was aimed with the intention to encourage economical weaker section to understand the heat reflectivity to reduce the thermal load of the building and grow into cost effective.

ENERGY CONSERVATION BUILDING CODE

The workshop is aimed by ASCI and IIIT for developing a team of efficient architects who can quantify the infrastructure and services of the building and report to govt. of India. This is to develop the Building Envelope, HVAC, Electric Power, Service Hot water Supply and Pumping and Lighting with its prescriptive and mandatory approaches.

A workshop elaborating on the sustainability by cradle to cradle under Architecture and Design Foundation at Goethe Zentrum. This workshop was to discuss for developing a better understanding of how an end product which can be recycled and used as raw material for another product.

This was a event conducted by Vaishnavi School of Architecture and Planning, Hyderabad in which all the students, faculties and staff members involved in adding greenery in the college campus. This event was encouraged by local govt. body (GHMC) with the concept 'Making college green'.

SOUTHERN REGIONAL CONFERENCE

The Indian Institute of Architects - Telangana Chapter

This event was one of the first meeting of IIA members at regional level. This has created a platform for local architects to interact with each other and also share their experience for current architecture practices.

Social Mass Housing In Smart Cities

This workshop was conducted by VSAP, Hyderabad under the guidence of K. J.A.B.Babu, P Ramaswamy, Uma Shankar, Kirthi Chandra. The aim of this workshop was to help understand the student the different aspects of mass housing from different parameters like urban fabric, Public realm spaces, landscape design approach, built form interaction and design anthropometry.

APCRDA PARKS DIVISION'S PROJECT-

Median Quality Assurance

Conducted: May, 2015
Thsi was a report to be submitted from Department of Architecture, School of Planning and Architecture, Vijayawada to APCRDA for the development and maintenance of greenery in the central median of National Highway from Gannavaram to Vijayawada city- Quality Assurance. This exercise gave an exposure on how to evaluate the quality of designed and executed landscape pocket.
